The “Rerun” Game

This week I have been under the weather so I will be submitting a rerun.

STOP! Don't leave! This is another game that we played on my YouTube gig a few weeks ago and it was a “rerun” in that I went back in time and gathered questions from earlier trivia games.

So, this isn't really a rerun here but it is a rerun from the game. In other words, here is more trivia for you this week because I honestly don't feel well.

I can copy and paste most of these questions here and will let you know from which particular game they came. Isn't that exciting? If not just fake it please and thank you. (I just wanted to work in the word “rerun” as much as possible and think I met that goal.)

This first batch of questions is from the earlier games of general trivia and entertainment trivia combined. I will number these accordingly so that you can find the answers even though they are in different sections.

This is hard to explain but keep in mind I've been weirder than usual lately due to illness. As usual please excuse the grammatical errors and sentence structure. Other than that it should win a Pulitzer.

Section One:

One: Those in attendance went wild when this creature decided to share the stage with Bernie Sanders during a rally in the 2016 primary cycle.

Two: What is the only NFL team to have a totally undefeated season including winning the Super Bowl?

Three: What classic show that featured a variety of short segments each week, led to the birth of Happy Days? It featured fireworks between segments, if memory serves.

Four: Which singing duo who happened to be brother and sister, hit the charts big time when they expanded on an insurance commercial and turned it into a number one song?

Five: What TV show featured the rather “frisky” character of Sue Ann Nivens played by Betty White?

Section Two:

These are from “Jeopardy! Lounging Style.” Some categories were: “Everything is Bigger” which were things associated with Texas and “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” which were things associated with filthy government actions or “officials.”

One: This airport was used by the CIA as a drop point in large scale cocaine trafficking when Bill Clinton was the governor of Arkansas and “Bush The Elder” was the president of the US of A.

Two: W. Stared this and O said he'd get rid of it but it's still going strong and only 90 miles from the Belly O the Beast. Many libertarians and progressive types are totally against this facility.

Three: This fictional Texas town and novel by the same name, won Larry McMurtry a Pulitzer Prize. There was also a TV mini-series based on the book. In whatever version, it's one of my absolute favorites.

Four: This star of a major dancing movie was born and raised in Houston and learned to dance at his mother's studio. He died of pancreatic cancer in his middle age. Five: I called this Texas city home for ten years, from 1983 until 1993.

Section Three:

This next section is from “The Child's” (Spencer) birthday game which would be November 24, 1995. The questions can be associated with that exact date or the year only or a combination thereof.

One: I cheated on my first two wives and acted rather sneaky but that didn't stop me from seeking Clinton's “impeachy.” (Hey, I was trying to be clever here.)

Two: I was born in July of 1995. Many clutched pearls because they said my creation wasn't really natural. I lived to be seven years of age.

Three: In 1995 this museum, which looks like something that the “Hidden Hand” might really dig due to it's design, opened in a city which sits on the shores of Lake Erie.

Four: This movie saw Andy's friends, “living it up” so to speak.

Five: I was born in 1995 and since then have morphed into a total monopoly. My owner is a billionaire and has direct connections to the CIA and the Pentagon.

Six: I was the president of my country in 1995 – in 1996 the USA “INTERFERED” with the elections in my country to ensure that I would remain in power.

Section Four:

OK this next section is from a game formerly known as “What's my Bag.” Mother can't take it when I say “what's my bag” so I now simply call it WMB. At any rate, this is the one where I give one clue at a time, from obscure to easy.

Since this is in print form you will have to cover the clues with something as you go along as to not take it all in at once. I trust that you will not cheat. Here goes.

One: I'm surrounded on all sides; I'm known for being blue but am not sad; Africa and Europe come to mind; From high above you can see the boot within me; My shores touch many countries; One of my islands is Sicily.

Two: I've been on a “killing spree” for years; 8 Eastern used to be my time slot; Are you a pinhead or a patriot; Dennis Miller is a side kick; This rooster got out of the Fox House; Welcome to the no spin zone.

Three: I'm associated with the number 600,000; Many documentaries have been made about me; People think of hippies and peace when I come to mind; Mud and rain didn't stop the fun; Yasgur's Farm was a good location; Don't take the brown acid.

Four: I was born in New Mexico; Not many knew about me at first; I'm associated with Feynmann, Einstein and others; The USS Indianapolis transported me part way; A mushroom comes to mind; The Enola Gay let me go.

Section Five:

That is it for the week and I thank you for taking part. I don't really have a clever way to end this so I won't end it in a clever manner.
