PAY IT FORWARD - Linesville, Conneautville, and Espyville communities held a Christmas Decorating Contest to raise money for charities. Voting was from December 1 to December 20. There were 9 residences and businesses participating in Conneautville, fifteen in Linesville, and one in Espyville. Conneautville raised $2,130 with the Do It Best Conneautville Hardware raising $1,305 for Parkinson’s Disease Foundation thanks to, from left above, Paula Field and Sue Joslin for decorating and really reaching out for people to donate, certificate present by Conneaut Mayor Allen Clark. The Hardware took home the traveling trophy for the second year in a row. Stone Memorial Library came in next receiving $553. Linesville community raised $1,491, and Espyville Community raised $157 for the North Shenango Vol. Fire Department for a grand total of $3,778 for 25 charities. It’s great to see how our communities come together and support charities that are important to them, said Mayor Clark. The event was sponsored by the Linesville Chamber of Commerce with Paula and Mike Heaney spearheading the effort and the Borough of Conneautville with Mayor Allen Clark coordinating it in the borough. Thank you to everyone that decorated and those that gave generously to the charities. Special thank you to the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club for hosting the Check Presentation Ceremony, K and M Graphics in Linesville for the yard signs, and the event promotions by the Meadville Tribune, Community News, radio stations, and social media.
