Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every child participated in summer learning, and as a result, raised literacy rates throughout the area? Children learn best when their learning is not interrupted – and summer vacation is a long interruption!

Without practice, children forget facts and important “how to” skills. The Springboro Public Library’s Summer Library Program helps children’s minds to stay active by bridging the gap between school years.

Nurturing basic literacy skills is one of the goals of PA Forward Pennsylvania Libraries, an initiative of the Pennsylvania Library Association.

Research shows that a child’s library use raises his or her fourth grade assessment scores.

Help spark learning in all of children this summer by supporting and participating in the Summer Library Program.

And remember to join us on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 pm for craft night. We hold craft workshops regularly. There are some special ones planned during the summer reading program. Sign ups are at the main desk.

There are new music CDs also! And new magazines every month.

Remember, we have audio books to check out if reading isn’t your thing. Our rotating collections have all your favorites, best selling authors.
