SPRINGBORO - We’ve got your favorite October entertainment hare at “SPL”. This includes new Halloween books for you and the kids as well as your favorite scary movies, the latest in over 15 periodicals and plenty of classes and workshops for all ages.

On October 16, at 2 pm, we will have a seniors’ social media class. Come learn how to get yourself on Facebook or Twitter. Then on October 18, at 6 pm, there will be a youth coding classes for kids up to 12. And also an adult craft class at the same time. See our main desk for details and sign ups.

We will have a beginner’s American sign language class on October 23 at 2 pm. This is an adult class lasting 1 hour.

And we’ll finish out the month with some Halloween fun for the whole family. Due to popular demand, we will have a 2nd escape room on October 29, at 6 pm. This will be a Halloween themed event for all ages.

Check out our magazines and collect recipes to prepare for Thanksgiving, etc., or borrow movies, music CDs, play aways or books on CD. We have a variety of materials for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. In addition, our children’s corner features books, games and toys. Join us for pre-school story hour on Saturday mornings at 10 am and for kids activities at 11 am.

Remember to LIKE us on facebook and check out our website. The website offers a variety of reference materials which are perfect for students of all ages who are writing papers for school. The website’s “power library” includes references, bibliographies and related articles on chosen topics. There are also a variety of e-books and free access to universal classes for over 500 subjects!

Stone Memorial Library

CONNEAUTVILLE - Tuesday, October 16, story time will be meeting at the fire hall at 10:00 a.m. We will be learning about fire safety. After the presentation we will return to the library for our story and snacks. We hope you will be able to join us.

We are having a “Financial Literacy” program on Monday, October 22, at 6:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for families to gain more understanding about budgeting and making the best use of the funds they have. If this is an area you need some information, call 587-2142 to sign up.

“One Thousand White Women” by Jim Fergus is the book we are reading for our next book club. Book Club meets Thursday, October 18, at 6:30 p.m. You are welcome to join us.
