Springboro Library happenings

SPRINGBORO - Springboro Public Library will be participating in the collaborative Summer Library Program this June. This year’s theme, “Universe of Stories,” explores all types of space topics from rockets and rovers to galaxy goo and much, much more.

The 2019 Summer Library Program is open to all ages - preschool through adult - with programs, story times and activities for everyone.

Join in on Saturday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m. for “Rockets and Rovers” presented by the ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum. Explore the technology of flight with this hands-on galactic engineering adventure!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every child participated in summer learning, and as a result, raised literacy rates throughout the area? Children learn best when their learning is not interrupted – and summer vacation is a long interruption!

Without practice, children forget facts and important “how to” skills. The Springboro Public Library’s Summer Library Program helps children’s minds to stay active by bridging the gap between school years.

Nurturing basic literacy skills is one of the goals of PA Forward Pennsylvania Libraries, an initiative of the Pennsylvania Library Association.

Research shows that a child’s library use raises his or her fourth grade assessment scores.

Help spark learning in all of children this summer by supporting and participating in the Summer Library Program.
