Stone Memorial Library

CONNEAUTVILLE - We hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day! Hopefully, as you were spending time with your family and friends, you took time to remember those who sacrificed so much for our country so that we could enjoy the freedoms that we have here in America. Thank you to all who have and continue to serve in our armed forces.

Last Tuesday was our last Storytime until the fall. We celebrated everyone with an “Un-Birthday Party”. We also took time to recognize the children that will be going to kindergarten in the fall. We are so thankful that they have been part of our storytime. We will miss them but we are certain they will do well in school. A BIG “THANK YOU” goes out to Miss Julie who does a fantastic job each and every week. She is the best! Also, this year Miss Kortney assisted her and we couldn’t have done it without her. Thank you, Kortney! We are blessed!

Summer Library Challenge is just around the corner. We will begin registering kids on June 11, with our first special event planned for June 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Lord Mason Park. There will be a full schedule posted next week. You can also check out our facebook page, Stone Memorial Library, for updates and information.

On Thursdays beginning June 20, at 1:00 p.m., we will be offering programs for the teens & tweens at the library. Our first one will be Doodle Pens, which is drawing in 3-D, and it is fun. You will want to join us and show us your creativity.

Our annual Book Sale is coming up June 17th – June 22nd. Once again it will coincide with the annual community yard sale in Conneautville. We have a large selection of books and DVD’s this year. You won’t want to miss this chance to add to your collection!

The summer looks like it is going to be a busy one. We hope you have a chance to join in some of the various activities we have planned. Besides activities we have a wonderful collection of books and magazines for you to enjoy while chilling out and sipping ice tea!

Stone Memorial Library is located at 1101 Main Street, Conneautville, PA. Our hours are Monday & Friday 1-6, Tuesday & Thursday 9-6, and Saturday 9-1. You can reach us at 587-2142.
