CONNEAUTVILLE - Thank you to everyone that stopped in last week to help us celebrate National Library Week! We hope that you enjoyed the cookies. We are so thankful that we can be part of the community.
Coming up this Monday evening, April 22nd from 4:30 – 6:00, we will be having a card making class. I’m sure this will be a fun filled evening. Please join us if you can. This class is open to anyone over the age of 16.
On Tuesday, April 23, we will be having a Book Fair from 9:30 – 5:00 featuring Usborne Books. You will be able to view a variety of different titles PLUS there will be plenty of cash and carry titles available, many under $10.00! All purchases will benefit the library.
We will be offering a Babysitting Class for anyone in 6th grade and up. You must have a library card and a valid email address to participate. This course will be offered in two sessions and would normally cost $75.00 but through the library there will be no charge. The class will be Monday, April 29th, and Monday, May 6th, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Please call the library if you are interested.
The book club selection for this month is “The Things We Do For Love” by Kristen Hannah. We will be meeting on Thursday, April 25, at 6:30.
Our crocheting & knitting continues to meet on Thursday mornings at 10:00. This is a nice time of visiting and working on our projects. Feel free to bring your project and join us.
Our WiFi service has been upgraded and you now need a password to log on. We have posted the password on the window and door of the library.
Storytime continues on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Miss Julie always puts together an exciting program with stories, crafts, learning stations, and snacks! We are so fortunate to have a great group of caregivers and children. The library is a great place to make connections within the community, and it is a pleasure to see that taking place here.
Technology classes are available at the library. If you need help with your iPad, phone, computer, or any other electronic device, call the library and we can set up a class for you.

Springboro Library happenings
SPRINGBORO - Spring is here!! There are so many topics to read about for this time of year. We are ready for Earth Day on April 22, and Arbor day on April 26. Stop in and read up on trees to plant in our area.
Thanks to all who joined us for National Library week! And thanks to all the kids who colored eggs with us for Easter. It was a fun week for all ages including seniors who came for our “Senior cafe’”.
We have loads of new books in for Spring. Check out the “New Book” shelves at the front of the library for your favorite top rated authors. This week we are featuring books by Joanne Fluke, Glendy Vanderah and C.J. Box.
As we get closer to May, mark us on your calender for our annual “Memorial Day and Alumni dinner at the Springboro Community Center. We are also planning our annual book sale!
Come sign up for one of our craft workshops. We regularly do crafts on the 3rd Thursday of each month. There is also a kid’s craft. Our main desk has a sign up sheet. Feel free to call us with any questions. Or just come down and sign up!
Remember, we also have audio books to check out. Our rotating collection has all your favorite, best selling authors. The play aways include titles for all ages. They only require headphones to listen to your favorite novels on tape.
Check our website or facebook anytime for craft workshops, new movies and books. And let us know if you have an idea for a new craft, book or movie. We are always planning and adding to our collections in every genre’.
Libraries have more than just books! You can also borrow movies, magazines, music CDs, play aways or books on CD. We have a variety of materials and activities for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
Our children’s corner features books, audio books, games, toys and coloring supplies. Join us for pre-school story hour on Saturday mornings at 10am followed by kids craft activities at 11am.
Remember to LIKE us on facebook and check out our website. The website offers a variety of reference materials which are perfect for students of all ages who are writing papers for school or college. The website’s “power library” includes references, bibliographies and related articles on chosen topics. There are also a variety of e-books and free access to universal classes for over 500 subjects!
