Storytime continues on Tuesdays at 10:00. We have a great group of children and caretakers this year! Miss Julie continues to have exciting stories, crafts, and play stations for everyone. Storytime provides a time of getting to know one another better and it is a great time for learning socialization skills for the children.

Springboro Library happenings

SPRINGBORO - Learn about famous women throughout history as we pay tribute for Women’s history month. Also, enjoy all that’s Irish this month as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Stop by and check out our window displays (one of which will be decorated by a local Girl Scout troup) to learn about St. Patrick as well as many famous women in our two front window displays. And yes, you can check out the books on display.

We’d like to thank some patrons who have made dedications and memorials this year. A wonderful donation was given by Springboro’s own Amicus Club. A memorial was dedicated to John Wade by Jean White and June Braden. And a generous donation by Vance Neal of Alaska was dedicated to Bruce and Jen Neal of Springboro. Dedications are placed inside the front cover of books and memorials can be viewed on the paneling next to our conference table in the back. Donations help the library function properly. The help from our considerate donors and volunteers, throughout the year keep us going strong. We are very grateful!

Also thanks to Northern Pennsylvania Regional College for sending a representative on 3/4/19 to discuss continuing education. Anyone who missed out can stop by for information.

The “NEW Book” shelves at the front of the library feature all our new fiction and non-fiction books from the past six months. This week we have displayed the new Paul Doiron, Jodi Picoult and J.D. Robb books. There are also new books in our Juvenile section. The rotating large print collection is also new this week. We have collection 6 now. And there are many new titles.

Come sign up for one of our craft workshops. We do crafts on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Thanks to all who joined us for last month’s clothes pin craft. Our next craft will be on March 21, at 6 pm. And remember, we do kid’s crafts every Saturday at 11 am following story time.

Check our website or facebook anytime for craft workshops, new movies and books. And let us know if you have an idea for a new craft, book or movie. We are always planning and adding to our collections in every genre’.

We have more than just books! You can also borrow movies, magazines, music CDs, play aways or books on CD. We have a variety of materials for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
