The library has more to offer than ever! We have more than books! Check out magazines, movies, music CDs, play aways and books on CD. We have a variety of materials for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. In addition, our children’s corner features books, games and toys.

This month we received an antique sleigh from a descendent of The Eighmy family. The Graves and Eighmy Co. was a factory here in Springboro back in the mid 1800s through 1911. The sleigh fit right into one of our windows. Stop by to see it. We celebrated Father’s Day with a window featuring books that described our Dads in one word. Springboro Cheer assisted us with a gardening window featuring many of our books on flowers and planting. And if you are looking for a book on anything summer related, such as beaches or swimming or sailing, come check our displays all over the library.

Family craft workshops continue on the third Thursday of each month. Most workshops are free and fun for all. Join us for stepping stones craft on July 7th and pet rocks on July 14th at 11am.

On Wednesdays until the end of the summer reading program, we will be sponsoring a “Libraries rock Cafe’” for teens. There will games, puzzles, music and beverages.

Summer reading participants are invited to “rock out” with us on June 30th at 11am. We will have a retro dance class with instructions for some favorite dances from past decades.
