Our 70th Anniversary (1944 – 2014) celebration is here! We are hosting “Patron Cafés” in the meeting room during our regular operating hours. Join other patrons on daily walks down memory lane with memorabilia displays and stories of library days through the years.
We have three free drawings you may participate in as you check out materials from the library. We are supporting our library’s 70th Anniversary with an Art Social 16x20 Canvas Painting Fund raising Party! A 70th Anniversary painting party is to be held at “The Movies at Meadville” on Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 p.m. There is only room for 45 people so hurry and reserve your seats today! All profits benefit the library. Please call the library at 587-3901 for more information.
Calling all preschool moms! We are sharing an exciting story, fun craft, and healthy treats this month on Wednesday, September 17, at 10:30 a.m.

Stone Memorial Library
CONNEAUTVILLE - It’s time for Story Hour! Miss Wanetta has plenty of fun and exciting things in store for the children, ages 2 to 5 years old. The books for this week will be, The Bus For Us by Suzanne Bloom and The Night Before Big School by E.J. Sullivan. So come out to Stone Memorial Library on Tuesday, September 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It’s a great way to meet new friends and introduce your young ones to the wonderful world of reading. And please remember that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
It’s also time for the book club to begin again. Our first selection will be THE HOT ZONE by Richard Preston. It is a fascinating read,sure to get your attention. Stop in at the library to sign up and request your book. Hope to see you on Thursday, October 2, at 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
With the nights getting cooler, now would be a good time to come in and check out the new books we have added to our circulation.
