…and on the eighth day god created the horse in perfect image, to romp, graze, gallop, play, and make manure wherever it darn well pleases, in divine grace.
This week we will watch a short flick filmed by my friend and newspaper contemporary-woman, Lisa Houserman.
Lisa made the always-delightful trip and visit to Marge Wenzel’s Tack Shop, located at 795 North Main Street Ext., Meadville, Pa. (814) 333-9028, recently, her wonderful Ma in tow.
Both Jackie and Marge are a hoot and Marge’s shop is always fun to explore. There is always a big Saddlebred peeking out from a window up at the barn, and Marge can be seen on the rail during the summertime up at the shows or the Fair, enjoying the performances of spectacular high-steppers, who display their superior bloodlines in the arena.
Marge is always kind enough to ask if you are showing this summer, and what bloodlines your horse comes from.
We wish Marge a great show season, make lots of sales, and we hope to continue to be able to go to her shop at the edge of town or to see her on the rail as the beautiful show horses glide past with their elegant riders.

Houserman and daughter, Lisa, recently visited Wenzel at her tack shop, Marge Wenzel's Tack Shop, 795 N. Main St. Ext., Meadville,where they were introduced to Paige, a 19-year old registered Saddlebred mare, a former show horse.
