Linesville borough taxpayers face an uncertain budget for 2015, based upon work done at a council budget meeting held recently.
Borough taxpayers were hit with a 2.2 real estate mill tax raise just two years ago when the mayor broke a 3-3 tie on council and voted for the raise.
Bottom line for a tax increase this upcoming year appears to center around bids coming in to tear down the Pachuk Building.
Those bids will be opened at council’s December 9, meeting with the plan for council to then meet on December 30, to approve a final budget for the 2015 year.
