Don Moen Concert

Welcome to another week.

In my January 12 column, I shared that I have bipolar illness. I now write a blog on living with bipolar. I’m writing from a Christian perspective as a traveling companion on this walk with mental illness. I’m not a doctor, therapist, or expert. My goal is to encourage.

If you or a loved one battle bipolar illness or depression, you might enjoy reading my blog. Here’s the address: HYPERLINK "http://www.thebipolardevotional.blogspot.com" www.thebipolardevotional.blogspot.com.

I have big news. Christian singer/songwriter Don Moen will give a concert on Sunday, February 22, at Fallowfield United Methodist Church. There will be a free will offering to raise money for Don’s new ministry, Worship in Action, which partners with Royal Seed Home in Ghana. Royal Seed provides a home, food, and clean water to more than 190 orphaned children.

On the off chance that you don’t know who Don Moen is, he wrote songs such as “God Will Make A Way,” “Give Thanks,” “Above All,” “God Is Good All the Time,” “I Just Want to Be Where You Are,” and at least 49 other songs.

He is famous world-wide and has traveled to every continent except Antarctica to sing and lead worship services.

In other Atlantic news, members and friends of Fallowfield United Methodist made chicken pies on Saturday, February 7. They will make more on Saturday, February 21. This annual fundraiser benefits missions both locally and around the world. If you’d like to come help us make pies, come to the church at 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 21. Please note that the time change from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Kennard United Methodist Church is hosting a community breakfast at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14. Sounds like a warm, comforting way to start your Valentine’s Day celebration.

Fallowfield United Methodist’s Valentine’s Day dinner will be Sunday, February 15, at 6:30 p.m. Why not join us? Bring some food for the potluck dinner, wear red, and expect to have a good time.

Blessings!
