Stone Memorial Library

CONNEAUTVILLE - Summer Reading starts June 20: Touch-a-Truck is our first event of the season. This event should be a blast for all ages! We will meet Tuesday at 10 am down at Lord Mason Park. If you haven’t already signed up please make the effort to come into the library and sign up. Pre-K to High-school can sign up to be eligible to win grand prizes.

A special event is planned for June 22, at 10:00 – 11:00. The Bookmobile, from the Erie County Public Library, will be at Lord Mason Park. Everyone who visits the bookmobile on this special day will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates or a t-shirt from Eddie’s Footlong Hot Dogs located in Meadville. There will be popsicles for everyone. Recently the Bookmobile was dedicated as a “Literary Landmark”.

Also, as part of our summer reading challenge, the teens and tweens will be meeting Thursday afternoons from 2:00 – 3:30 at the library. This will be a time of reading, building, and of course, snacks! Funding for the summer reading programs provided by the Erie/Crawford Library District and local businesses.

Please mark the following items to your calendar this summer season. Our annual book sale will be held July 24 through 29, during our regular library hours. This is a great time to add to your home collection and make room at the library for new materials.

August 1, we will be taking part in the National Night Out. We will be selling sandwiches, chips, and a drink to raise money to help with the needs of the library. We would love to have you stop by and support the library.
