The Conneaut School District continues to wait for its money from the sale of a lot at Conneaut Lake Park, one of the lots the Bankruptcy Court has allowed to be sold.
Park managers have said the lots are not needed in running the park now or in the future.
The closing on the sale took place back on June 17 and nearly 3 months later the money remains at the Crawford County Treasurer’s office despite a number of inquiries by the school district as to when payment to the district might be anticipated.
Latest information is that the money should be received in early-mid October, and that it would probably be November or December by the time the other taxing bodies [Crawford County, and townships of Sadsbury and Summit] get their payments paid to them and then processed and approved to pay back the school district that fronted much of the money for attorney fees.
