The first word came on Sunday morning, April 11, when State Police were called to the home of Tod E. and Laurie A. Prenatt at 2079 Wheeler Road, west of Linesville, the police finding the bodies of the Prenatts upon arrival at the home.
Both had been shot numerous times with Crawford County Coroner Pat McHenry ruling the deaths homicides late Monday afternoon, April 12, following the completion of autopsies in Erie by Dr. Eric Vey, a forensic pathologist.
The Pennsylvania State Police were called to the home at about 10:00 a.m., after Laurie Pernatt’s mother stopped at the home to pick up her daughter on the way to Linesville First Baptist Church where both attended.

The code will become the Property Maintenance Code of the borough and is for the regulation of buildings, property, and structures.
Advertising has been done to officially adopt the code which has been reviewed in these pages in the past using the 2003 code plan and depending on the final exact wording in the 2006 code will allow the Code Official to inspect any building, structure or premises which are the subject of complaints made by any person to determine whether there exists an unsafe or unfit structure, unsafe equipment, or other violation.

LINESVILLE - Don't expect Linesville borough to plow snow off the sidewaks in downtown Linesville anymore.
That was the direction Linesville Borough Council took when meeting in March session with councilmen Ron Harper, Kevin McGrath, Ron Vennare, and Pete Fizer present.
Also present was newly appointed councilwoman Sharon Kobel, appointed to replace the resigned Matt Gillette. She was the only person who expressed interest in the vacant seat. She will serve through December 2011.
Laughing Duck business owner and property owner Cindy Wightman was present to point out the borough worker had ruined the curb in front of her property while taking snow away from the front of her property.
