Joe Yeager, Business manager of the Conneaut School District, will be retiring from his position at the semester break come January 2011.

Yeager’s retirement was approved at the Conneaut School Board meeting on Wed., June 9,when board members met in regular monthly voting session.

Present were board president Jody Sperry, vice president Rick Kelly, Dr. Carol Bocan, Dr. Walter Thomas, Lorri Drumm, Gina McCauley, Don Ellis, Jr, Cheryl Krachkowski,and David Schaef.

Conneaut school graduations are Friday, Saturday Print E-mail

The Class of 2010 will hold graduation ceremonies this Friday and Saturday as seniors at Conneaut Valley High School, Linesville High School, and Conneaut Lake High School, in that order, say good bye to their high school years and begin a new life outside the high school setup.

Pending final test results close to 53 seniors will graduate at Conneaut Valley High School on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 7 p.m., in ceremonies at the high school.

Speakers will include the class salutatorian and class valedictorian. The ceremonies also feature an alumni speaker recalling old times at the school and offering words of wisdom for the future. Judy Panko Jones, a 1982 CVHS alumnus, will be that speaker.

Conneaut Valley, Conneaut Lake, and Linesville areas paid tribute. Charges filed in murder cases Print E-mail

Law enforcement officials filed two felony counts each of criminal homicide and burglary in the re-cent deaths of Linesville area couple Tod and Laurie Prenatt in the offices of Linesville District Judge Rita Marwood on Wednesday, June 2.

The charges were filed against Gary C. Wiley, 37, also of the Linesville area. He could face up to 20 years in prison on each of the burglary charges and might face the death penalty in the homicides.
