Speakers planned

Life Building Ministries and Shannons to speak at Fallowfield and Kennard United Methodist Churches

Welcome to another week!

Sixty members and friends of Fallowfield United Methodist Church spent Wednesday, July 9, at Waldameer and Water World. The weather was beautiful: sunny most of the day and 73 degrees.

You can bring the children in your life to Adamsville Presbyterian Church for Vacation Bible School Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. You can register your children at the church Monday night at 5:45 p.m.

The men of Life Building Ministries will speak at Kennard United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 20. The men will share their testimonies.

If you’re unfamiliar with this mission, Life Building Ministries (LBM) was started by the Reverend Andrew Hercula in 1998. LBM is located in Cochranton and provides Biblical counseling and education for troubled men.

Reverend Hercula went to be with Jesus on June 18. Thurmond Compton, a LBM graduate, now runs the ministry. These men always encourage me when I hear how God transformed their lives. Many are recovering from alcohol or drug addictions, failed marriages, financial problems, anger, and a host of other problems. They spend five hours each day studying the Bible. Many of these men make Christ the Lord of their lives at LBM.

Fallowfield United Methodist Church will have its first pie bake on Monday, July 21, at 5 p.m. Please join us – we would love to see you.

Jerry and Christy Shannon will speak at Fallowfield at 9 a.m. and Kennard United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. on July 27. The Shannons are missionaries to Ethiopia and their mission is called Embracing Hope Ethiopia.

They run two day care centers that serve 100 families. One center is for babies under age two and another for children ages two to four. More than 40 Ethiopians work at the centers.

Please come and learn about the good work the Shannons are doing in Jesus’ name.

Have a wonderful week. Blessings!
