CONNEAUTVILLE - It’s time for our second annual Winter Reading Challenge. This challenge is open to anyone age 18 and over. Just stop in to the library to sign up and pick up your reading guide. For every book you read on the challenge you will receive one coupon to put in the drawing for our gift bag. The gift bag is a Thirty-One bag with several prizes inside including a $50.00 gift card to Chovy’s, which is located in Meadville! The challenge will run until March 8, and the drawing will be Friday, March 9.

American Girl Club will meet Saturday, February 10, at 10:00. We will be having an Olympic theme. Be sure to bring a friend and your doll to join in on the fun.

Our book club selection for February is “The Memory Keeper”s Daughter” written by Kim Edwards. We will meet on Thursday, February 15th at 6:30. We would love to have you join us for an evening out.

Last week in story time we made some adorable polar bear hats! Miss Julie always has very creative ideas for the children and we certainly appreciate all her hard work. More exciting stories, crafts, singing, and snacks are in store for all who join us this week. We love seeing the kids from the community coming to the library.

Springboro Library happenings

SPRINGBORO - We are fighting the “winter blues” here at the Library. Our new book selections include many of today’s “red hot” authors! Like us on Facebook to see our most recent romance novels for Valentine month.

The library is the best place to fight cabin fever. This month we celebrate Black history month with some great displays as well as new books. In addition, we have a craft workshop planned for February. On February 15, we will host a family craft workshop. All ages are welcome. And the workshops are free!

We are celebrating Valentines Day with A “Chocolate Cafe’”. Come in and join us in our cozy front room for chocolate, hot beverages and something fun for the whole family.

In March, the library will be hosting another painting party. Local artist, Tammy Clement will lead a canvas painting event and she will provide step by step instructions on painting. A pre-registration fee covers all materials. Call 814-587-3907 for more info in March.

Stop by to peruse the books on display or on the shelves! Our selection includes everything from Mechanics to Mysteries.

The library has more to offer than ever! We currently have books, magazines, movies, music CDs, play aways and books on CD. We have a variety of materials for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. In addition, our children’s corner features books, games and toys. Join us for pre-school story hour on Saturday mornings at 10am.
