SPRINGBORO - It’s “Fantastic Fall 2017” here at Springboro Library! We are planning a pre-holiday season packed full of fun!

Book club will be held the second Thursday of every month at 2 pm for Fall.

It’s fun for the whole family on September 19, at 6 pm. Be creative at our “Block Party” where we will have all of our building blocks out for pre-k ages and up.

A “Bead Bonanza Workshop” is planned for September 28, from 6 pm to 7 pm. This is an adult and teen craft hour to make original beaded jewelry.

For the kids, pre-school story time continues at 10 am every Saturday. And “create time” will be from 12 -1 pm on Saturdays with activities and crafts for kids. Also, every Thursday at 3:30 is “create time” and after school activities.

The library has more to offer than ever! We currently have music CDs, playaways, books and books on CD, magazines and movies. There is a variety of materials for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Stay tuned in October when a “Spooky Cafe” is planned for Halloween week. Get your costumes ready!

Library hours are: Monday 12 noon - 8 p.m., Tuesday 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., Wednesday 12 noon - 8 p.m., Thursday 2 p.m. -8 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday summer hours 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. will start on June 24.

With your library card, you can also earn free continuing education credits through Universal Class or access free test preparation and practice exams for high school, college entrance, professional certification and licensing, military and civil service through the Testing & Education Reference Center.

Stone Memorial Library

CONNEAUTVILLE - The book club is starting back up this month, September 21, at 6:30 pm. The book is called “ the silent sister” by Diane Chamberlain. It’s a tail about a woman who has spent her entire life believing that her older sister Lisa committed suicide as a teenager. Now, over twenty years later, her father has passed away and she’s in New Bern, North Carolina cleaning out his house when she finds evidence to the contrary. Lisa is alive.....To find out more come and get the book and join the book club.

Story time is back too! We can’t wait to see all your faces. It begins Tuesday, September 19, at 10 am. There will be crafts, songs, interactive fun and stories with Miss Julie. Please tell your friends and neighbours, anyone with a baby to pre-k is more than welcomed to join.

We also would like to mention that the library is having a Fund-raiser to help with the costs of the unexpected building repairs. We are selling pies and strombolies; they can be purchased at the library. The orders are due Thursday, October 5, and you are expected to get your order near October 24. Thank you for all the support.

We also want to remind everyone that the library is a great resource in the community. Along with books we have DVD’s, magazines, and audio books. We also have computers available to the public and WiFi. In addition to the materials we also offer several programs for everyone in the family.
