SPRINGBORO - A basic computer skills class will be offered on Thursday, May 25th. Please call for time and to register.

The month will end with our Springboro Community Homecoming banquet on May 29, at 1 pm. The banquet will be held at the Springboro Community Center. The event will begin with a social hour following the Memorial Day services at Spring Cemetery. Dinner is at 1 pm. Reservations and the banquet fee of $8.50 are due by May 24.

Stop by to peruse the books on display following the “Libraries Transform” theme.

The Adult Book Club - Adults can sign up at the front desk - will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 pm.

The library has more to offer than ever! We currently have books, magazines, movies, music CDs, playaways and books on CD. We have a variety of materials for the whole family. Patrons are welcome to come in and read or use the internet in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. In addition, our children’s corner features books, games and toys.

The library offers free access to universal classes for over 500 subjects now! And remember to like us on facebook!

With your library card, you can also earn free continuing education credits through Universal Class or access free test preparation and practice exams for high school, college entrance, professional certification and licensing, military and civil service through the Testing & Education Reference Center.

Library hours are: Monday 12 noon – 8 p.m. Tuesday 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday 12 noon – 8 p.m. Thur., 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sat., 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Stone Memorial Library

CONNEAUTVILLE - The Stone Memorial library will be starting it’s Summer Reading Program in June with a “Build a Better World” theme, which should be both exciting and educational for the community and their children. Sign ups will start soon!

Story time with Miss Julie on Tuesdays are now all finished up, it starts back up in September 2017! All pre-k children are welcomed to come and enjoy story time in the fall!

Children that don’t read over the summer begin forgetting lessons learned during the school year, losing up to three months of learning. The library’s mission is to provide a fun, practical, learning environment for kids that would otherwise have nothing to do all summer.

We also want to mention don’t forget to mark your calendar for American Girl “ Garden Party” on June 3.

Adults can participate in reading groups and take advantage of the Universal classes online, With over 500 subjects to choose from.
