Springboro Library happenings

SPRINGBORO - Check out our Pre-K story time on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Join Ms. Ginger for a fun and interactive story hour designed just for toddlers.

Adults and teens, create your very own beaded jewelry bracelets and rings! Join us on Thursday, December 15, from 6 to 7 pm. The class is free and all supplies are provided. Pre-registration is requested as class size is limited.

The library is holding a “So you think you can’t paint!” fundraiser on December 8, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $30 and all supplies are provided. Local artist Lynda Proctor will guide participants step-by-step through the process to create a unique work of art featuring a holiday tree with lights!

Thank you to all of our volunteers and to our community for making our annual Soup & Sandwich Supper a success. Your support is greatly appreciated!

The library will close at 5:30 pm on Monday, December 5th.

We’re offering after school activities for tweens and teens on Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Play the x-box or computer, enjoy a snack, or play board games and relax at the library.

We have a great variety of books and materials for the whole family! Check out a new book or magazine, a relaxing story to read with toddlers, bedtime story for young children, creative story for older children, adventure story for active teens, and an inspiring story for adults or check out the latest movie or audiobook! With your library card, you can also earn free continuing education credits through Universal Class or access free test preparation and practice exams for high school, college entrance, professional certification and licensing, military and civil service through the Testing & Education Reference Center.

CONNEAUTVILLE - Please note that Christmas books, movies, and music are all out! Stop by for a craft book and get busy with decorations, or pick up a family classic like Elf or It’s a Wonderful Life. On the carts are books to borrow; by the door are books for sale (leave donation).

A few new movies are available - Star Trek: Beyond, Central Intelligence, and TV series Dr. Thorne among others. Also keep an eye on December 10, for the next Legos @ the Library meeting, 10:00 am on Saturday. Show us your creativity!

Last but not least, come and take a tag from the Giving Tree; we would love any items such as jumbo markers, stamps, mailing tape, card stock or post-its. Take a Giving Tree bookmark with you when you go! Many thanks to those who have already helped out, bringing in these needed items - your generosity is, always, very deeply appreciated.

Please note that as winter becomes a concern, Story Hour will be postponed on any day that schools have 2-hour delays. Stay safe and stay warm!
