Our 70th Anniversary (1944 – 2014) celebration is here! We are hosting “Patron Cafés” in the meeting room during regular operating hours. Join other patrons on daily walks down memory lane with memorabilia displays and stories of library days through the years.

We have three free drawings you may participate in as you check out materials from the library. We are supporting our library’s 70th Anniversary with an Art Social 16 x 20 Canvas Painting Fund raising Party! Please register at www.artsocialsw-tac.com and reserve your seats for the “Gudgeonville Bridge”

A 70th Anniversary painting party is to be held at “The Movies at Meadville” on Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 p.m. There is only room for 45 people so hurry and reserve your seats today! All profits benefit the library. Please call the library at 587-3901 for more information.

“Senior Cafés” are back! Please tell your friends and join us on Monday, October 13, for our “Autumn Senior Café” from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Calling all preschool moms! We are sharing an exciting story, fun craft, and healthy treats this month on Wednesday, October 22, at 10:30 a.m.

Stone Memorial Library

CONNEAUTVILLE - Story Hour will be held Tuesday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. The theme for this week is Colors. Miss Wanetta will read Snappy Little Colors by Kate Lee ,The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt and Mouse Count by Ellen Stoll Walsh.

The Book Club will be getting together again for another good read on November 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson. Stop by the library to sign up and get your book.

With the nights getting cooler, now would be a good time to come in and check out the new books added to circulation. Whether it is a good mystery or a fine romance, the library is certain all will be pleased with the selections! There is also a great selection of DVD’S to choose from.
