David Schaef update: (12/05/23)

I spoke with David yesterday. He had just arrived at the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Erie.

There are still a couple of issues to resolve, and David is optimistic that Encompass has the skills. We didn't speak much of medicine and health, most of the conversation was about our subscribers and the Community News newspaper.

I was much encouraged by the tone of his voice and the idea he was interested in talking about Community News. So, he’s at that, “I want to get back to work” stage of healing.

He talked about his subscribers and a letter he is composing for them. He talked about how to proceed with the newspaper when he gets home.

He said he hopes to be home in 2 weeks.

Thank You all for your Love and Prayers and Well Wishes.

Conneaut School directors approved the purchase of 200 new iPAd 2 tablets when they met in May voting session earlier this month, a part of a $92,503.00 lease purchase that includes 750 infocase - iPad cases, 250 Belkin USB chargers and 300 Startech Pin Cable items as well.

The new iPads will be given to the 9th grade class coming into the high school this fall with iPads from this year’s graduating class being collected with plans for those models to be used at the 8th grade level in the two middle schools.

Use by the 8th graders, mostly in school, should help the transition a year from now when 8th graders become the new 9th grade class.

The infocase - iPad cases should help to better protect the iPads students are using in the senior high school.

For additional details about New iPad purchase receives approval, as well as the headlines noted below, please purchase a Monday, May 26, newspaper at area locations or a digital download of the paper.
