David Schaef update: (12/05/23)

I spoke with David yesterday. He had just arrived at the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Erie.

There are still a couple of issues to resolve, and David is optimistic that Encompass has the skills. We didn't speak much of medicine and health, most of the conversation was about our subscribers and the Community News newspaper.

I was much encouraged by the tone of his voice and the idea he was interested in talking about Community News. So, he’s at that, “I want to get back to work” stage of healing.

He talked about his subscribers and a letter he is composing for them. He talked about how to proceed with the newspaper when he gets home.

He said he hopes to be home in 2 weeks.

Thank You all for your Love and Prayers and Well Wishes.

Conneaut Township supervisors held their July public meeting with Supervisor George Greig leading the salute to the American flag. Supervisors Josh Fusco and Timothy Greig were also in attendance. Secretary Telce Varee took the minutes and there were 15 citizens present.

The June meeting minutes were approved, along with the payment of the bills.

For Public Comment, a man and a woman stood to complain about their neighbor on Bertram Road and the loud activity that carries on at the trailer house there.

They said that the PA State Police and Crawford County Sheriff have told them to attend this public meeting.

Bertram Road is a private, grass lane and is maintained by one of the residents in the neighborhood.

The neighbors present at this meeting stated that the grass lane becomes an interstate freeway full of traffic from 7 pm to 3 am every night.
