Winter Receding

In the grim cold days of winter
When a blanket of snow dresses the ground
And outside chilling winds are blowing
Scattering snowflakes all around.

In a warm room looking out the window
You see it as a winter wonderland
There is a certain kind of beauty
That could only be by Mother Nature’s land.

Now as you gaze out the windows in meditation
AS to how the season’s come and go
Remember Spring is in the near future
And again warm soft breezes will blow.

Then you can open the doors and windows
And you and I could both come to agree
Nothing smells better than Springtime flowers
When grass is green and a leaf appears on a tree.
