Please, A Soft Landing

When the warmth leaves the body
And the eyes forever close
What will happen next
Is something only God knows.

As we tarry in the after life
Hopefully somewhere upon high
Will we adopt some type of image
Or will just our thoughts float in the sky.

There are things we cannot know
Things beyond our understanding
So what is left for us to do but pray
That included in the package is a soft landing.
