Our Very Best

It takes a lot of living
To fulfill each and every day
A lot of friends to meet
And greet along the way.

A lot to be said and done
Whether at work or at play
Yeah there are a lot of things to do
Before each day slips away.

Days are never long enough
To do all the things we should
And we are never fast enough
To do all the things we could.

So we do our best to be our best
And treat each day as our last
We should think of all there is to do
Not what we have done in the past.

So as we end our walk through life
And have earned eternal rest
Our friends will say of us
We always did our very best.
