Our Monarch Butterfly Friends
Just saw a report from Mexico Where our Monarch friends are doing well. These gifts of nature are amazing, What a story they have to tell.
They spend their summers here with us, You seldom know they’re around, They fly by mostly unnoticed Never emitting a sound.
It’s difficult to imagine How anything that small Begins its unbelievable journey One he takes every Fall.
Were we to follow its example, Travel agents would be called. Planes make the same journey Your luggage is also hauled.
Conneaut Lake to Mexico You’d be there the same day. “Why waste all that scenery?” Is what the Monarch would say.
Our feelings may not be evident, But thank you, little friend. We pray your amazing visits Will never...never end!
