Old Timer

I’m so sorry, Old Timer,
The doctor won’t see you any more.
His office is overflowing
Patients are sitting on the floor.

The time has come to call a halt
To every little pain.
It’s off to that special person
Gotta’ see the Doc again.

It’s most evident he’s the one responsible
For the pickle that we’re in.
As long as your insurance pays the bill
He’s the one that’s going to win!

The solution to this is on the horizon
That is, if the pill factories so choose.
Take the “old Timers” out of the picture
And they’re the ones that are going to lose.

That’s about it on the subject.
I’m due for a trip to town.
Gotta’ find my insurance cards,
Hate to see the receptionist frown.
