“Odds and Ends”

Any one that all their life pretends
Will have a life made up of “odds and ends”.

You see down a road until it bends
Beyond the bend you may find “odds and ends”.

A friend to a friend some money lends
Payment may be made in “odds and ends”.

Short lived are women’s fashion trends
Clothes out of style are “odds and ends”.

The farmer works the farm he tends
This he cannot do with “odds and ends”.

A color scheme, where colors blend
Cannot be made of “odds and ends”.

A fool who spends and spends and spends
Usually winds up with “odds and ends”.

The rainbow of many hues transcends
Anything made up of “odds and ends”.

What meaning is sit this phrase intends
Lets just say it’s “odds and ends”.

The writer hopes he never need to make amends
For a subject as diverse as “odds and ends”.
