My Mental Attic

I sit in wonder as I wander
Through my memories of yesterday
And picture things I've seen and done
As I strayed along life's long pathway.

When you are young, how easy to travel
Just pack your bag and hit the road
So many things wait to be enjoyed
When travel was an adventure, not a load.

No strings were attached to when you traveled
There is no limit to the time you take
When something before you catches your eye
Think only of the memory it will make.

Now as the days dwindle down
It's hard to visulize what one would do
Without your collection in your mental attic
Of all the memories to see you through.
