Memories and Such

As I older grow
“Tis more that I should know
But much to my regret
“Tis more that I forget.

But to my delight
Some things turn out right
Memories of songs we sung
In days when we were young.

These I do recall
And cherish one and all
Things we did back then
And will never do again.

Now as I subsist
I sit and reminisce
Of the wondrous days gone by
Days we shared, you and I.

Now as I look into the haze
That shroudis our future days
I pray that our remaining times
Are heaven blessed with gentle climes.
