Have You Ever Seen The Sunrise

Have you ever seen the sunrise
When the earth was fresh with dew?
Or heard the call of the meadow lark
When the sky was clear and blue?

Such things are the pride of nature
And are wonders to behold
But to see and hear the one you love
Is a thrill ten thousand fold.

Have you ever walked down a shady lane
While birds sang in the trees?
Or reminisced by a babbling brook
Lost in old memories?

Such things are fine for body and soul
All fill a need in man
But to walk and dream with the one you love
Fits God's eternal plan.
