Hand in Hand

It never fails to thrill me
When I see a Godly deed
One to help another
When the other is in need.

When an act speaks of kindness
And reward is not its goal
You know God lent a helping hand
For something coming from the soul.

So as you walk down life’s highway
And meet a stranger on the road
Think of the joy you will feel within
If you help to lighten his load.

When one takes time to help another
Through life’s blowing, drifting sand
One will have the sweet remembrance
Of a walk with God, Hand in Hand.
