From 20's to 80's

When I was young and in my twenties
I thought I knew all there was to know
With just a glance at life pathway
My mind was made up, get up and go.

Now as I wander in to my thirties
And observe my ideas lying all around
You would think your plan would need adjustment
But in my mind they were all still sound.

But then alas! Forty caught up with me
When things start to go wrong
So now is time for the drawing board
To secure that the ideas of the plan is strong.

Now that mid life is upon us
And fifty years are everywhere
It's time to rescheduled your life's walk
And conquer the last few steps up life's stairs.

Now I wonder what to do with the sixties
The pathway should now take its downhill glide
It's time to rethink your planning
To prepare for a smooth downhill ride.

If there is an important ten years it is the seventies
That's the time that everything must go in place
It's the sum of planning and preparation
That over a a lifetime has earned its place.

Now we arrive at eighty grand old years
A time to reap the reward of a lifetime
Time to enjoy the efforts of prior years
As easy as ending this poem with a rhyme.
