Day By Day

Another year has come and gone
A half million minutes slipped away
‘Tis measured best this passing time
By memories stored for use some day.

We live our lives upon this earth
With yesterday, tomorrow, and today
Today influences the past and future
All hinges on what we do each day.

Memory lane is what we make it
Filled with nuances of yesterday
Times that live beyond a lifetime
Minutes that snatch out breath away.

Each new day is filled with promise
Filled with what we do and say
Hope and faith, love and kindness
Beget memories for a future day.

We tap our treasure-trove of memories
As we live our lives day by day
Reaping a harvest of golden moments
To help us walk life’s winding way.
