Christmas 2010

Once again it's Christmas time
It's time to celebrate the birth
Of a tiny baby laying in a manger
Who became the greatest man on earth.

Outside the weather has turned to Winter cold
And the ground is covered with pure white snow
But in the towns the Christmas lights burn bright
And we gather warmth from their seasonal glow.

So as we celebrate this holy day
Sharing food and drink with family and friends
Then drifting into serenity of the afternoon
And remembering well the message conradery sends.

Many thanks to Santa and his reindeer
His toys tend to keep the young at play
But no matter how attractive Santa may be
We must not forget this is Jesus's birthday.
