LABOR DAY was made a federal holiday on June 28, 1894 and is celebrated as the end of summer by many Americans. The holiday has been observed on the first Monday in September for over 100 years. We salute our American workers who make America great, who can feed and clothe the world, who can build the greatest things. There are none like the American workers. Honor our workers.
