The 30th Annual Ducks Unlimited Pymatuning Waterfowl and Outdoor Expo will be celebrated in Linesville this weekend September 17 and 18.

This year the event will be kicked off with a Sportsman's Night Out at St. Philip's Social Hallo on Friday evening, Sept. 16. The hall is located on South mercer Street, Linesville, south of the red light in town.

Tickets for the event for the sportsman are available online at www.ducks.org and must be purchased by September 15. Those interested can also contact Robin Rhoades at rrhoades63[place@here]gmail.com

The major Waterfowl event will begin with the annual Expo Parade, sponsored by the Linesville Area Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. In downtown Linesville. with a full complement of Zem Zem units involved.

Linesville's twin brothers, Anthony and Randy Armstrong and Mike Barnes, members of the touring band Red have been announced as the Grand Marshals for September's annual Pymatuning Waterfowl Parade.

Red play hard rock music that occasionally flirts with metal influences. The quartet are identified as a Christian band, but their songs don’t contain overt references to religion or faith, although their lyrics’ implied spiritual themes have made Red popular on the Christian charts. Known for being a tireless touring group, Red flex a dynamic, dramatic quality in their songs that’s similar to the sound of groups like Shinedown and Linkin Park.

They are available after the parade at the park next to the post office to sign autographs and will have their musical items for sale.

The Expo, held at Linesville High School, opens at 9 a.m. with the featured events on Saturday including the expo Decoy Carving contest. Judging begins at noon.
