The Linesville Area Chamber of Commerce - New Website Print E-mail

The Linesville Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the launch of its website:

www.linesville.org.

Created and hosted by T.J’s Internet Marketing of Linesville, the new website is the Chamber’s first Internet presence which is wholly owned and operated by the Chamber.

The Linesville Chamber promotes the Linesville area and local business in general. Being a Chamber member opens many doors to opportunity and information to keep Linesville area businesses thriving.

The focus of the website is twofold: a business directory for Chamber members and a campaign to promote Linesville as a “One Tank Trip” from regional cities.

It can be a large area, as stated on the website, “Whether your idea of a One Tank Trip is a five or six hour day trip or a one tank each way weekender, there is plenty of fresh air, open road and places to go, with things to do for the whole family.”

Members in the business directory get their essential information such as name, address and phone number. Member’s logo and a few lines of additional information are also included. Members with their own website have a link included as well.

More information and photos, even slide shows can be added to member listings. Additional web design fees are negotiated with T.J’s Internet Marketing on an individual basis.

Tom Deighton of T.J’s Internet Marketing says, “As much as business directories, such as this, are a viable marketing strategy, each business should have its own, professionally developed, website in place first. Directories are best utilized to bring visitors into the “Home” site where they can get the best and most timely information.”

There has never been a better time to become a Chamber Member as right now!

Chamber President, Ginny Headley sent a letter to the membership earlier this year. The letter is rendered on the website under the “About Us” menu item. Here is an excerpt from it: “Your Chamber has also helped to promote our other highly successful programs such as The Annual Town-wide Yard Sale, which keeps growing in popularity every year; The partnership with the Linesville Flower Club, which maintains flowers throughout the Downtown area; The Miss Linesville and Waterfowl Pageants, which promotes community activities, charitable involvement and becoming a role model to others; Waterfowl Weekend, which includes the funding of the Waterfowl Parade and the coordinating of street side vendors; The purchasing and maintaining of the Downtown Christmas Decorations , and the coordinating/funding of the Holiday Shopping Candlelight Walk.”

There is also a very attractive full color brochure that members have an opportunity to place their business information in. Thousands of these brochures have been distributed locally at the Spillway and other locations. The 2010 brochure has already been printed and is in distribution but there is always 2011.

Your information can be posted on the website at any time.

This summer would be a great time to become a member of the Linesville Area Chamber of Commerce. With all they have done and all that is coming, Chamber membership is the fast track to getting your business in the mainstream.

Membership information and prices are waiting for you at www.linesville.org. It’s located in the top Main Menu under, you guessed it, “Membership.”

You can also call President Ginny Headley about membership at 814-683-1006. You can call Tom Deighton about websites and web design at 814-683-5645.
