Tel-O-Post property transformation now is underway Print E-mail

The Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County recently completed its acquisition of the former Tel-O-Post facility in Linesville and has begun its transformation to the Linesville Business Park.

This 110,000 square foot building has been vacant for some time and the Economic Progress Alliance intends to utilize the property to support the growth of small and medium sized businesses in the Linesville Area.

As owners and developers of the Crawford Business Park (former Avtex facility) the Economic Progress Alliance will use many of the same principals, strategies and resources to support and manage the Linesville Business Park.

With a mission to improve the quality of live in Crawford County by promoting, facilitating and supporting viable economic development opportunities, the Economic Progress Alliance has begin efforts to improve the property and to ready it for future occupancy.

Since assuming ownership the Economic Progress Alliance crew and various contractors have been busy making improvements that have included roof repairs, interior perimeter insulation and paneling, breakroom/restroom remodeling as well as exterior painting.

Plans also include the eventual relocation or loading docks to the north side of the facility and additional improvements to parking lots, roadways and landscaping.

While only recently taking control of the facility, the Economic Progress Alliance has been successful in attracting its first two tenants. Dad’s Pet Care and RGT Plastics of Linesville are currently occupying more than half of the total space. And the remaining space is being prepared for future tenants.

“Ultimately, we are hopeful of using the property in a long term effort to support the retention and formation of jobs in the Linesville community” said Mark E. Turner, Executive Director of the Economic Progress Alliance, adding that “we are off to a good start and have appreciated the warm welcome received from the mayor, the Borough Council and others in the community”.

Anyone with an interest in the Linesville Business Park may contact either Mark Turner or Deana Burge at the offices of the Economic Progress Alliance at 814- 333-2299.
