Looking for something exciting to do this weekend with the entire family? Then join the thousands who will visit the 28th Annual Ducks Unlimited Pymatuning Waterfowl & Outdoor Expo in Linesville, September 19th and 20th. Again this year the event will be kicked off with a “Waterfowl Hunters Party” at St. Philips Social Hall on Friday evening September 18th. Tickets for this “Must Attend Event” for the waterfowl hunter are available online at www.ducks.org and must be purchased by September 16th. Saturday morning begins with the annual Expo Parade, sponsored by Linesville Area Chamber of Commerce, at 10 a.m. The Expo, held at the high school, opens at 10 a.m. Featured events for Saturday will include the Expo Decoy Carving contest (judging begins at 12:30 pm) and the Pennsylvania Duck Stamp competition at 1 pm. The Ducks Unlimited Auction will be held at St. Phillips Social Hall and the doors will open at 5 pm. Food sales benefit the St. Phillips Social Hall. On Sunday, the expo opens again at 10 am. Highlights for the day will include some of the regions best waterfowl callers competing in the Expo Duck & Goose Calling Competition. The competition is open to both junior and senior divisions. Throughout the weekend you will enjoy outdoor related vendors, artwork by local and nationally renowned artists and some of the regions best waterfowl carvers displaying their items. Join in the seminar series featuring topics like duck and goose hunting secrets, decoy tactics, predator calling, and dog demos. Whether you are into hunting, wildlife, conservation, or just the great outdoors, this year’s festival will be something the whole family. The main events are located at Linesville High School; other activities will be throughout downtown Linesville, and the Learning Center.
