Another citizen mentioned that the gas company had come and turned on the gas at the Train Depot, but no one knows for sure and no one had spoken with building owner Steve Petrus or Wally B., who was known to be moving his antique shop from the borough of Linesville to the West Center Road location to confirm the activities on Rt. 6 or at the Center Road Train Depot.

A major concern of the gentry seems to be that Wally B. would say he was just putting in an antique shop at the Train Depot, and once it was in, add in a topless bar upstairs, like the one on Rt 6.

The citizens wanted to know what can be done to stop all of this, as some have voiced opposition.

(Remember, in most townships, plans must go before a Zoning Hearing Board, be accompanied by public hearings, and then voted on by the sitting Supervisors.)

It was then agreed that the Solicitor should send a letter via certified mail to Steve Petrus for confirmation on property rental and intentions of the renter.

Speaking to Alan Shaddinger, via telephone, as of press time, this reporter is confirming that the letter has been sent.

Continuing, it was stated that confirmation was needed from Steve P. and Wally B. on whether they would go through a third party inspection agency or only through Dale Wilson, at Labor and Industry.

It has since been confirmed, as of press time, that if all plans go forward, the two would have to go through Dale Wilson, as indicated by Mr. Wilson, via telephone, to the Supervisors.

This is because it is a commercial endeavor and must meet all commercial building code standards to open a new business.

Having no further questions from the public about the topless establishment, George Greig then moved the meeting along to review of minutes.

The minutes were from the January, 2010, township meeting, and having no questions concerning them, the minutes were approved unanimously.

Receipts and expenditures were then reviewed . The motion carried unanimously to pay the bills. The motion carried unanimously to pay a UPS bill for snow shoes for the plow truck.

The motion carried unanimously to bid 5,000 gal+ or for MC-70 and 5,000 gal + or- of E-3.

The motion also carried unanimously to bid for gravel #8 and 2B; these bids will be opened at the March meeting.

Under Correspondence, a letter from Michael Rinkevich was noted seeking monetary reimbursement for sewage.

After a short discussion, George Greig stated that there isn’t any money for such.

He has been attending meetings and stated that there is no money and the (state) is looking to cut liquid fuels monies again.

The motion carried unanimously to accept Mr. Rinkevich’s " no state reimbursement" payment plan.

Supervisor Greig then brought up the fact that the township needs to be online with their liquid fuel reports and need to pass a municipal resolution stating that they have agreed to use the dot Grants online reporting system to file the required Liquid Fuels forms annually.

This Municipal Resolution # 2010-1 was passed unanimously, as moved by George Greig and seconded by Tim Greig.

Tim Greig then brought up that the township might be able to piggyback on state prices through the "co-star program." He wants to look into this and see who might have a lower price.

Secretary McCann then mentioned that files and data should be backed up on the township computer. This can be accomplished either by purchasing discs and backing them up every other week, or by using an online back up system that automatically backs up data when connected to the Internet.

The motion carried unanimously to purchase the online back up system at a cost of approximately $5.00 per month.

Also under Correspondence, a thank you letter from the Linesville Little League for the donation.

Having no further business, the Supers then adjourned the meeting for the afternoon.

The Conneaut Township Supervisors meet every second Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm. The public is invited to attend.
