Linesville High School has the largest number of students according to recently released third day enrollment figures for the 2009 - 2010 school year.

Conneaut Lake Elementary School remains the Conneaut School District’s largest elementary school; however the school district’s overall number of students continue to fall from a year ago as well as four years ago.

Third day enrollment figures for September 2009 show Linesville to have a total of 465 students in grades 7 - 12, Conneaut Lake High School to have 451 students and Conneaut Valley 378 students.

A year ago in September 2008, Conneaut Lake had 498 grade 7 - 12 students, Linesville 493, and Conneaut Valley 360.

Third day enrollment figures for 2009 show a total of 1,294 grades 7 - 12 students overall in the school district. That figure was 1,351 in September 2008, a drop of 57 high school students.

At the elementary level, Conneaut Lake had a September 2009 third day enrollment of 475 students, Linesville’s Alice Schafer 435, and Conneaut Valley 361.

A year ago, Conneaut Lake Elementary had a third day enrollment of 463, Linesville 431, and Conneaut Valley 345.

Overall, elementary school numbers went up this school year to 1,271, from 1,239 a year ago. All three elementary schools have increases this year over last year- Conneaut Lake 12, Linesville 4, and Conneaut Valley 16.

In September 2005, there were 1,306 elementary students in the Conneaut District, Lake having 471, Linesville 457, and Conneaut Valley 378.

In 2005, the high school numbers were 545 at Lake, 545 at Linesville, and 355 at Conneaut Valley for a total of 1,470.

Overall student numbers in 2005 were 2,776 while the total this year is 2,565, a drop of 211 students in 4 years.

The CLHS senior class this year has 92, CV 56, and LHS 96, the 96 the single largest class overall.
