DRESSING PEOPLE - Head Start pupils in the Conneaut Valley area are shown at a recent class time event where they are dressing 'people." Detrails on the group are found on page 12 this issue. (click the Read more link below.)
What a wonderful vacation. The children had the week off and are now eager to return to school. We are sad to say goodbye to Jaden. He has moved and we will miss him. We would like to welcome our new student Zavia. She is excited to come to school and to learn with the other children. The children were happy to dress their cut out people to help them understand the importance of what to wear out in the cold. The snow has melted but it sure is cold out there. We are into a new year and want to let the families in the community know that we are taking applications for this year and next year. If you have a child who will be three by Sept 1st, call and get an application. We fill up fast and the sooner you put your application in, the better chance that they will get accepted. Give us a call and get place for next year. The sooner the better. Twin Creeks Head Start is currently accepting applications for the 2011-2012 school year. Head Start is an early childhood program-serving children ages 3-5 years of age. Head Start promotes individual growth and personal development of preschool children, by providing comprehensive educational, health, nutrition and social services to children and their families. This program is available at no cost to families. Centers are located in Meadville, Forest Green, Gill Commons, Conneaut School District Areas of Conneaut Lake, Conneaut Valley, and Linesville, Titusville, Cochranton, Franklin, Oil City, Seneca and Clintonville. If you would like an application please call 814-724-6530 or 1-800-370-8540. Families of children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
