McGrath said in the past, they had gotten $18,000, “ and back then you could buy a backhoe for $20,000...”

The township was asked to adopt a resolution in order to, as McGrath explained, “get started again...to get some revenue sharing going and that's the purpose of the resolution.” He said the information had been in a publication the township receives on a regular basis called “Township News.”

He said that they had been encouraged to adopt a resolution and get it sent in to the legislators.

Comparing this plan to the stimulus, for example, McGrath stated that everyone gets something out of the deal.

He went on to say that back in the day, they had bought a backhoe, grader, a high lift and one dump truck with the money.

A motion was made, seconded and carried to adopt the resolution.

In Conneaut Lake Park Beach Club occupancy news, McCoy said a letter from MDIA had been sent to the Park. The letter gave a deadline of November 25, to submit plans for approval. She said she spoke with a person from MDIAthe morning of the meeting, (Dec 1) and found out that a local architect, Mr. Frost, was to deliver the plans to her the following morning, which would be December 2.

MDIA and the Park have worked on this since July after it came to the attention of the agency that Club had been in violation of the ordinance. PA state law requires plans to be submitted and approved prior to any changes in a commercial structure.

Some construction took place at the Beach Club without the appropriate steps being taken. The violations were discovered during a walk-through in the summer. Albaugh, some park officials and an individual from MDIA were all involved in the tour of the club.

As of 12:30 on the afternoon of December 2, the plans had not been delivered to McCoy.

Greg Sutterlin, of Park Restoration LLC, the group that is leasing the Beach Club, was reached for comment. He said that Mr. Frost was going to be delivering the plans at some point, (December 2). He stated too that the plans would address all of the issues having to do with the situation at the Beach Club.

As more information is obtained, it will be reported.

The next gathering of the Summit Township Supervisors will be the Reorganization Meeting on January 4. State law requires that all Second Class Townships hold this type of meeting on the first Monday of the year. It will take place at 7 PM at the township building and will be followed immediately by the regular monthly meeting.

Linda Durney read the minutes from the last meeting held at North Shenango. There were no corrections or additions so the motion was made, seconded and carried to accept the minutes.

Linda Durney also read the Treasurer’s Report from North Shenango. There is a balance of $1,072.24, after a deposit of $292.50 and a debit of $300.00. Durney made a note that the deposit was late and would show October’s transactions.

There were no corrections or additions to this report and the motion carried unanimously to accept it.

Bobi Heida read the Treasurer’s Report for South Shenango. The balance there is $1,014.48 and the motion carried unanimously to accept this report.

Tony Durnye had a couple of announcements: The annual October Halloween Party, held at the Community Center in Espyville was a great success. Tony once again thanked everyone for their help in putting it together and helping it to run so smoothly. This was the first Halloween Party hosted by Tony Durnye and friends, and head-counters estimated around 200 revelers packed the Center at one point.

Everyone is looking forward to next year’s party.

Durnye went on to say that the Crime Watch Christmas Party will be held on December 17th, at Scooter’s in Andover, Ohio. The time is 6:00 pm, there is a limited Crime Watch menu to order from and the bar will be open. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The next Crime Watch meeting will be held in January at North Shenango.
