Marquette Savings Bank, in Conneaut Lake, has a reputation for supporting the community in many ways. Just one example, the bank has been known to donate money, to various area non-profits and charities, on an annual basis. This was the case on Monday, December 5, when six representatives, from five different organizations, gathered at the bank to receive some much anticipated and appreciated contributions. Pictured above are those who acted on behalf of their groups and are, from left: Clara Pazey, of the Linesville Food Pantry; Pat Kaider, (the First Lady of Conneaut Lake), of the Samaritans; Gary Humes, also from the Samaritans; Diane Rhodes, of the Conneaut Lake Shontz Memorial Library; Anita Hans, C.L. Marquette Branch Manager and check presenter; George Rutherford, of the Conneaut Lake Area Historical Society and Cindy Klink, of the Salvation Army. Klink is also employed by Marquette. The total monies donated were $4,900 with $2,000 being given to the Samaritans, $500 to the Salvation Army, $1,000 to the Linesville Food Pantry, $500 to Shontz Library and $900 to the Conneaut Lake Historical Society. As the pictures above indicate, all involved were very thankful and delighted to have received the generous donations from Marquette Savings Bank.
