Donation to; Hospice of Crawford County

SPOTTED ABOUT TOWN: During a recent sunny late afternoon, a Community News roving reporter stumbled upon a check presenting ceremony in front of the lovely Pelican Landing II “complex” on the east side of Conneaut Lake. The recipient of the funds was Hospice of Crawford County. The money presented was raised during the Second Annual Danny Frisina Memorial Golf Outing. According to some of those on the scene, the event began last year with $6,000 being raised and donated to Hospice of C.C. They decided to make it an annual fund raiser and handed a check for $6,100 over to Lynette Waterman, the Hospice gal. Pictured above are those who were instrumental in organizing the event in one way or another but, Bill Singleterry, co-owner of Pelican Landing II, did emphasize that not only were the players and the volunteers super helpful but, the hole sponsors made the event really move into full “swing” due to their generosity. He made it clear that he wanted to thank those companies and individuals that had been a part of the sponsoring aspect of the outing. Pictured above from left to right are: Jimmy Anselmo, Bert Bullock, Mary O'Polka (handing check to Lynette), Lynette Waterman, Bill Singleterry and Dick Reese. The next outing in memory of Mr. Frisina will take place on July 5, 2010. It's not too early to express an interest and contact Bill or Mary at Pelican Landing II for more info. The number is 814-382-0606.
