HANDING IT OVER TO HOSPICE: For the third year in a row the Danny Frisina Memorial Golf Outing was a large success with every year getting progressively better in terms of money raised. The funds have been donated to Hospice of Crawford County annually and this year's grand total was $7,250.
Last year saw Hos-pice receiving $6,100 and the first year, $6,100. Bill Singleterry, co-owner of The Pelican Plaza along with his charming wife, Mary, are event coordinators and emphasized how much they appreciate all of the volunteers and help in general they receive every year. “We thank all the additional people that came. Most of them were local. We are looking forward to a fantastic fourth outing,” Singleterry stated. The date for that is already set for Sunday, July 3, 2011, at 1 PM at Oakland Beach Golf Course. Pictured above are those who were involved in one way or another with the outing. Front row from left: Mary O'Polka Singleterry, Jimmy Anselmo and Gina McCauley, of Hospice. Back row from left: Bert Bullock, Bill Singleterry, Dick Reese and Barbara Mulligan, also of Hospice. It's not too early to mark the calender for next year's outing. Please contact Bill or Mary at 814-382-0606 for information.
